Synopses for "Go Green" web series

Go Green was produced for Discovery New Media in February and March of '07. Bringing together some of Southern California's leading experts in conservation, the series is being made available for cell phones, airlines and VOD's on Discovery's new eco channel, Planet Green.

1. Alternative Fuels: Andrew speaks with bio-diesel expert and advocate Kent Bullard at one of Southern California's first bio-diesel stations, and talks briefly about ethanol.
2. Bottled Water vs. Tap Water: Andrew does a water test on tap water and bottled water, finding that tap water is as safe or safer than certain bottled waters.
3. Water Filtration Systems: Andrew discusses home water systems with green architect David Hertz, and David Hertz demonstrates and explains how commonly bought water filtration devices work.
4. Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products: Andrew discusses the importance of using eco-cleaning products, and the member of KIS Home Cleaning talk about the ingredients that make good eco-friendly cleaning products.
5. Under the Hybrid Hood: Andrew talks with former President of Society of Automotive Engineers Shahed(one name like Pele or Madonna), who demonstrates how a hybrid car works.
6. How to Get Better Gas Mileage on Existing Car: Andrew gives tips on how to get better gas mileage on your existing car, and speaks with bio-diesel advocate Kent Bullard who gives some more advanced tips.
7. Eco-Friendly Home Energy Plans: Andrew talks with Earthday LA co-founder Jim Stewart and green architect David Hertz about home energy, and how to customize your energy plan to maximize it's use of renewable energy sources.
8. Homes-Allergy-Free: Andrew talks with green architect David Hertz about home air filtration systems, and gives tips on how to minimize a home's potential for allergies.
9. Home Energy Management: Andrew speaks with physicist and Earthday LA co-founder Jim Stewart and green architect David Hertz about how to create an energy efficient home lifestyle.
10. Water Waste Prevention: Andrew speaks with Earthday LA co-founder Jim Stewart and green architect David Hertz about issues with our water supply, and gives tips as to how to save your home water consumption
11. Recycling Refrigerants: Andrew explains the importance of recycling your refrigerants, and talks with Earthday LA co-founder Jim Stewart about the global warming implications of not recycling coolants properly.
